It is well known that a healthy diet helps you to be strong and energetic and we will address this subject in a further issue. Nevertheless, once in a while, there is nothing wrong with a special treat and specially if it’s homemade and has no strange chemical additives.
Here an easy and quick (15′) recipe of the famous French Madeleine. Depending on how much madeleines you want, you can play with the amount of ingredients. The ratio is the following one: 1 egg, 50 grams sugar,50 grams flour, 50 grams butter. Et voilà!
First things first, preheat the oven at 180 degrees. Then, start with mixing eggs and sugar, preferably the old fashioned way with a fork. This will avoid you the brain breaker noise of a mixer.
Then add the flour. When you have a compact mix, add the soft butter.
Mix this gently and fill your madeleines pan with this delicious mixture. If you don’t have a madeleines pan you can use a cake pan but don’t fill it entirely.
Put your madeleines in the oven and let them bake for around 10 minutes at 180 degrees. During that time, do not clean your kitchen. You’ve been pretty active the last fifteen minutes, so now it’s time for a glas of water and a little break. Enjoy the cozy purr of your oven and be grateful because you did it!!
When you see that the madeleines start to become slightly brown, you can put them out and let them acclimate to the room temperature. If you feel like it, you can now clean your kitchen and reward yourself afterwards with….. a delicious madeleine.
Enjoy and be proud of yourself!!!
